Retraction ESA endorsment of the NAAP guideline

Styrelsen ber att få uppmärksamma SFAI´s medlemmar på beslutet från ESA att dra tillbaka riktlinjen om propofolsedering. Sverige deltar i den europeiska arbetsgrupp som tillsats för att revidera riktlinjen. Styrelsen återkommer i frågan och står fast vid gällande SFAI-riktlinje.  

Dear  Swedish Society of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care,

I wish to inform you that the Board of the European Society of Anaesthesiology (ESA) sent a letter to the European Journal of Anaesthesiology (EJA) and to the journal Endoscopy announcing the retraction of the ESA endorsment of the guideline on  Non-Anaesthesiologists Administration of Propofol  for Gastrointestinal endoscopy which was published simultaneously in Eur J Anaesthesiol 2010; 27:1016-1030 and Endoscopy 2010; 42:960-974. This retraction was a consequence of the motion presented and approved by the majority of active members present and voting during the ESA General Assembly held in Amsterdam on June 15th, 2011.
